In between the questions
Stemming from an empty canvas, Brenner adds layers, constructing and composing well thought out ideas. His works represent complex parts of our surroundings, seemingly like fast fragmentary projections of crazy world situations, bombarding with information, however not in any way violent, but balanced between realism and poetics, seriousness and fun, meaningfulness and banality. Often adding statements, proverbs, sentences, words and letters, gradating them in sizes, his works pose for more questions than they offer answers. Brenner’s dynamic collages leave the space for the viewers to experience their thoughts, experiment with them, as well as question their own understanding of the environment we live in.
